Saturday & Sunday, December 26 & 27

Happy Holidays! Community Forklift is open from 12 to 5 pm both Saturday and Sunday this weekend, December 26 & 27. Visit our nonprofit reuse warehouse and save 25% on furniture and lighting both of those days! You can also shop for items that are in our warehouse by visiting the Community Forklift Marketplace.

There are so many unique light fixtures and furniture pieces available! Choose from modern and vintage chandeliers, glass shades and globes, overhead lights, flush-mounted lights, wall sconces, outdoor lights, lamps, tables, dressers, shelves, wardrobes, desks, filing cabinets, sofas, and more! Also, we offer five days of free storage for most items to give you time to arrange for transportation, if needed.

Community Forklift is committed to staying open as a resource providing free and low-cost essential home repair materials to the community. We are taking all precautions recommended by the CDC and are paying close attention to warehouse conditions. Please stay home if you are sick or at a higher risk of getting very sick. Learn what to do if you are sick here.

Under Maryland Executive Order, everyone over the age of five is required to wear a face covering in the public spaces of all Maryland businesses, including Community Forklift. Help keep our community safe by wearing a mask that covers your mouth and nose and maintaining a six-foot distance from other people. Thank you!

Please note our warehouse hours: Monday – Sunday, 12 – 5 pm. You can also shop online and choose low-contact pickup through the Community Forklift Marketplace!

Community Forklift provides free home repair supplies and other essentials to households with limited resources through our Home Essentials Program. If you or someone you know needs furniture, lighting, or other supplies but will have difficulty paying for them, please take a look!

Please note: discount does not include bathroom vanities or kitchen cabinets, mantels, appliances, select specialty items, items from our consignment partners, or items listed on eBay or Chairish. Items with missing or damaged price tags will not be sold.  May not be combined with other discounts or promotions.

Every time you donate or shop at Community Forklift, you’re helping us lift up local communities through reuse.  We turn the construction waste stream into a resource stream for communities in the DC region – by keeping perfectly good items out of the landfill, preserving historical materials, providing low-cost building supplies, and creating local green jobs.
