Community Forklift is so much more than a store. In addition to providing low-cost materials for the community at-large, we also distribute free materials to other nonprofits and households with limited resources, create good green jobs, educate our community about reuse, and more.

Home Essentials Program (HELP)

Community Forklift provides building materials and other home essentials free-of-cost to households with limited resources. Since 2011, Community Forklift has provided over $540,000 of materials to neighbors in need to improve their homes.

Community Building Blocks (CBB)

Community Forklift provides mini-grants of store credit to community groups and nonprofits for projects that serve the greater community. Since 2011, Community Forklift has worked with around 500 organizations and provided over $470,000 worth of materials.

From staff development and tours of our reuse warehouse to workshops and outreach tables at community events, Community Forklift strives to education the community about the importance and benefits of reuse.
