HEADBOARD

Check out the beautiful teal paint job on this awesome upcycled door headboard! It adds a great bit of color and personality to this bedroom. Thanks to a Forklift Fan for sending in their project and supporting reuse! Photo by @riotmarty (Instagram)

WAINSCOTING

This beautiful large door from Community Forklift was stripped, refinished, and repurposed as wainscoting. What a great idea for reuse! The new finish and purpose totally transform the original. Photo by Lorraine Mullaly (Facebook)

FRONT DOOR

A couple of reuse fans sent in these photos of their awesome front door project that used a salvaged door from Community Forklift! They wrote, “Our pandemic project was restoring an antique solid oak door with leaded glass. We bought it for $35 then stripped the paint off with citrus & oxalic (rhubarb) acid, planed it, and re-sealed it. It glows.” Photos by @maco.nix and @dlongwing (Instagram)

CLOSET DOOR

This $5 door from Community Forklift (bought for $3 during a door sale!) looks awesome in this closet renovation! The space was very long and narrow, so they moved the door to the center in order to provide better access. The cane panels replace a couple of badly damaged wire ones. GARAGE DOOR

A Forklift Fan found a new home and a great reuse for this pair of salvaged school carriage house doors from 1893! With a fresh coat of paint and a few replacement panes of glass, the historic doors have a new life as a garage entrance. “The carriage house doors look more like they belong here than the original,” the new owner said. “Thank you all so much for taking care of [them] …”

SUNROOM

Check out this amazing DIY sunroom using upcycled doors from Community Forklift! Thanks to Scottie from Lovettsville, VA, for sending in the photos of her incredibly creative project. You can find instructions on her blog!

POCKET DOOR

Surprise! This newly-colorful pocket door from Community Forklift is such a fun feature. I think it’d bring a smile to my face every time that blue hue popped out from its hiding place. I also love how the hardware disguises the hole left behind by the door’s previous use. Photo by @riotmarty (Instagram)

HEADBOARD

What a genius idea for reuse! This beautiful vintage door from Community Forklift is now a sleek and stylish headboard. The medallions on the door panels really shine in that color and finish and the crown molding top looks great! Thanks to a Forklift Fan for sending in the photos of their project and for supporting Community Forklift’s mission to lift up our community through reuse!
