In order for our reuse nonprofit to divert usable materials from the landfill and redistribute them to the community, we depend on the partnership and support of our corporate and individual material donors. These generous donors provide the free and low-cost materials that our community needs!
ABW Appliances recently donated mini fridges that have already made a difference in the areas we serve. In the past two weeks, we have distributed seven of these appliances for free to households with limited resources in both Washington, DC, and Prince George’s County, MD. The households together comprise 35 people who will use the mini fridges to preserve and store both food and medicine.

In addition to donating materials to Community Forklift, ABW Appliances also holds charitable events and donates funds to local nonprofit organizations. As part of their #ABWgives campaign, sales teams at each of their locations support a neighborhood nonprofit of their choosing. The chosen charities receive $10 from every appliance sale at their sponsoring location throughout the months of October, November, and December 2023. In 2022, this campaign alone raised over $14,000 for local charities!
