Check out this chicken coop created with salvaged materials from Community Forklift! “I’d change some things about the design if I did it again — now that I know what works best — but I’d never built anything before,” the Forklift Fan who constructed it said. “Having access to affordable lumber, paint, doors, even the window, gave me the confidence to just go for it!

Malcolm’s new dining room is a real showstopper! It’s full of style, simplicity, and … REUSE! The chandelier, desk-turned-bar, and mirror are all from Community Forklift and the table and chairs are secondhand finds as well. Beautiful! Read more about this space in Malcolm’s blog post. This plaster lamp was awesome in its heyday, but when purchased for $5 from Community Forklift the velvet panels were peeling and some earlier repairs were failing. With a couple coats of paint and a $25 shade (also from the reuse warehouse!), it’s back in business!

The beautiful patterned hexagonal tiles in this bathroom project came from the tile aisle at Community Forklift! BONUS: the vintage drawer handles also came from the reuse warehouse. Salvage for the win!

This Community Forklift find went from lobster cage to spider lair! Salvaged materials are great for holiday decorations and with some creativity can last year-to-year. I wonder how this cage will reappear in 2023! Skeleton receptacle? Zombie prison? Endless possibilities!
