Check out the glow on that golden woodgrain! Using salvaged poplar from our reuse warehouse, Woodridge Woodshop created this entertainment center top for a very happy customer. Thanks for supporting our reuse nonprofit and using salvaged materials! Photo by @woodridge_woodshop (Instagram)

A fantastic Lisa Frank inspired upcycling project using a couple of stools found at our reuse warehouse! Hats off to a Forklift Fan for having the vision and skills to create these Technicolor leopard print beauties. Photo by @katemakes_______ (Instagram)

We’ve got a “Before and After” of our own to share! We hope our new Store Policies sign is organized and easier to read. We also added a little about our mission to provide free and low cost materials to the community, reduce waste, and create good green jobs! Visit our website to learn more about supporting our nonprofit by shopping at our reuse warehouse.

This modern light fixture from Community Forklift looks fantastic in its new home! The mix of its modern style with the vintage fireplace design is so nice and I love the drama and warmth of the wall and ceiling color. Thanks for choosing reuse and supporting our nonprofit! A Forklift Fan updated the lighting in their home with a fantastic mobile chandelier from our reuse warehouse! It’s reminiscent of a very glamorous erector set and complements the ceiling beams so well. Thanks for choosing reuse and giving this fabulous fixture a new home!

Check out the awesome outdoor garage art created using triangular cement tile from our reuse warehouse! The tile pattern used was slightly different from the one in the ‘before’ photo (think more like the Delta Airlines logo instead) but the creativity of the design is the same! What a fabulous reuse for salvaged tile! Photo by @toddkutyla (Instagram)

Every time you donate or shop at Community Forklift, you’re helping us lift up local communities through reuse.  We turn the construction waste stream into a resource stream for communities in the DC region – by keeping perfectly good items out of the landfill, preserving historical materials, providing low-cost building supplies, and creating local green jobs.
