At Community Forklift, your well-being is our first priority. We are taking all precautions recommended by the CDC and are paying close attention to the situation. Please stay home if you are sick or at a high risk of getting very sick (learn what to do if you are sick here). Please maintain a six-foot distance from other people when shopping in the warehouse.

Under Maryland Executive Order, everyone over the age of five is required to wear a face covering in the public spaces of all Maryland businesses, including Community Forklift. Help keep our community safe by wearing a mask that covers your mouth and nose and maintaining a six-foot distance from other people. Thank you!

Please note our warehouse hours: Monday – Sunday, 12 – 5 pm. You can also shop online and choose low-contact pickup through the Community Forklift Marketplace!

Community Forklift provides free home repair supplies and other essentials to households with limited resources through our Home Essentials Program. If you or someone you know needs windows or other supplies but will have difficulty paying for them, please take a look!

Please note: discount does not include windows with stained glass, pebbled glass, or other specialty glass, specialty items, items from our consignment partners, or items listed on eBay or Chairish. Items with missing or damaged price tags will not be sold. Discount may not be combined with other offers.

Every time you donateor shop at Community Forklift, you’re helping us lift up local communities through reuse.  We turn the construction waste stream into a resource stream for communities in the DC region – by keeping perfectly good items out of the landfill, preserving historical materials, providing low-cost building supplies, and creating local green jobs.
